2025 Juno Award Nominee for Blues Album of the Year!

Get ready to experience the raw soul of Samantha King and the Midnight Outfit, nominated for a 2025 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year!
This dynamic group is turning heads with their electrifying sound and undeniable chemistry. At the heart of it all is the soulful, powerhouse vocals of Samantha King, who commands every note with raw emotion. Holding down the groove is the unstoppable Sandro Dominelli on drums—an absolute force that propels the band forward. The cool storm that is Marc Beaudin on electric bass brings the perfect balance of smoothness and intensity, while the electrifying Chris Tabbert shreds on guitar, lighting up the stage with every riff. Together they created an album of all original music except one song, written by Callie Chappell entitled “My Baby’s Got a Baby” that Samantha has insisted on recording since she was only 16!

But that’s not all – this album is also graced with special guest appearances from four incredibly talented musicians who inspire the band. Steve Marriner (Monkey Junk) adds the fire on harmonica and Jesse O’Brien brings the magic on the organ! The dynamic duo of Stephanie and Amber Suchy elevate the sound with their killer background vocals, adding a whole new dimension to the music. The self-titled and self-funded, debut album was recorded at Dominelli Studios in St.Albert, Alberta. While everyone in the band had a significant input, the production, mixing and mastering were expertly handled by Louis Sedmak and Sandro Dominelli. Executive producers of the album were Samantha King and Marc Beaudin.

In just two short years, Samantha King and the Midnight Outfit have made a remarkable impact on the live music scene. The band has graced prestigious stages, including the Edmonton International Blues Festival and the Calgary Blues Festival, captivating audiences with their unique sound and high energy performances. Additionally, they showcased their music for the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta SHOWCASE 2024, further cementing their growing presence in the Canadian music scene. With more live performances on the horizon, Samantha King and the Midnight Outfit continue to bring their energy and talent to music lovers across the region.
